Fathers

A father’s grief peaks at around 19 months after the loss of a child. Fathers are at risk of, depression, chronic fatigue, marital discord, isolation and loneliness.

HUG aims to provide, counseling support and man to man support from another father further along in the grief cycle, massage and general TLC.

HUG also aims to provide support for fathers whose spouses are pregnant after a loss as this experience can be very isolating and hard for them.

Putting a grieving father in touch with another father who has experienced loss and is further along in the grief cycle is very helpful and therapeutic for both of them. Having a Rav who is sensitive to the issues surrounding the stillbirth and arrangements that need to be made is invaluable.
